Bimetallic Fe–Cu metal organic frameworks for room temperature catalysis
نویسندگان
چکیده
Bimetallic Fe–Cu MOF was effectively synthesized through a one-pot solvothermal process and successfully characterized by TEM, XPS, SEM, XRD, BET, EDX, elemental mapping, FT-IR analysis. This bimetallic employed as catalyst in the reduction of nitroarenes at room temperature well dyes, for example, methyl orange (MO) methylene blue (MB). Results pointed to exhibiting outstanding catalytic performance both reactions. The activity comparison with Fe-MOF Cu-MOF indicated superior compared single-metal MOFs. Activity did not change after its recycling reusing seven consecutive cycles nitrobenzene reduction.

Biomimetic catalysis of metal-organic frameworks.
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have attracted great attention as a new type of prospective material with various merits and functionalities. MOFs can either act as biomimetic catalysts to mimic enzymatic activities or serve as hosts to encapsulate bio-active species for biomimetic catalysis. However, in comparison with the dramatic development of MOFs in other catalytic fields, MOF-based biomi...
متن کاملHomochiral metal-organic frameworks for heterogeneous asymmetric catalysis.
Homochiral crystallizations of two enantiomeric metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) Ce-MDIP1 and Ce-MDIP2 were achieved by using L- or D-BCIP as chiral inductions, respectively, where the chiralities were characterized by solid state CD spectra. Ce-MDIPs exhibit excellent catalytic activity and high enantioselectivity for the asymmetric cyanosilylation of aromatic aldehydes; the homochiral Cd-TBT M...
متن کاملAccelerated Computational Analysis of Metal−Organic Frameworks for Oxidation Catalysis
High-spin iron(IV)−oxo compounds are known to activate strong C−H bonds. Stabilizing the high-spin S = 2 electronic configuration is difficult in molecular species for homogeneous catalysis, but recent experimental and computational results suggest this can be achieved in the metal−organic framework Fe2(dobdc) (dobdc 4− = 2,5-dioxido-1,4-benzenedicarboxylate) and its magnesium-diluted analogues...
متن کاملMetal-organic frameworks with exceptionally high capacity for storage of carbon dioxide at room temperature.
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) show high CO2 storage capacity at room temperature. Gravimetric CO2 isotherms for MOF-2, MOF-505, Cu3(BTC)2, MOF-74, IRMOFs-11, -3, -6, and -1, and MOF-177 are reported up to 42 bar. Type I isotherms are found in all cases except for MOFs based on Zn4O(O2C)6 clusters, which reveal a sigmoidal isotherm (having a step). The various pressures of the isotherm steps c...
متن کاملOriented nanoscale films of metal-organic frameworks by room-temperature gel-layer synthesis.
Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) assembled from organic building blocks and metal-based connectors have attracted much interest owing to their large pores and their enormous structural diversity. Particularly, the generation of homogeneous thin films of MOFs is highly desirable in view of potential applications including chemical sensors, catalysts, and also optical devices. Several elegant exam...
